Fast Charging New Era
Fast charging is the technology that helps to charge batteries faster without damaging the batteries. We are here for mobile phones so in mobiles they have specific processors for example Snapdragon, mediatek, helio etc. Everything is executed by Processors and if processors is not capable of managing extra power for charging then fast charging will not work. It means it is not necessary that charger that comes with your phone is the only charger that support your phone it will be clear below but there are two major technology for fast charging.i. Quick Charge
ii. VOOC
Quick Charge is a technology featured in Qualcomm Snapdragon SoCs.
VOOC (Voltage Open Loop Multi-step Constant-Current Charging) technology owning OPPO. VOOC charging support seen in Oppo reno 2 with media tek 's helo processors.
Numerous other companies have their own competing technologies; these include MediaTek Pump Express and OPPO VOOC. Several other rapid-charging technologies are based on Quick Charge 2.0; these include TurboPower (Motorola), Adaptive Fast Charging (Samsung) , Dual-Engine Fast Charging (Vivo) and BoostMaster (Asus).
As of 2019, VOOC comes in three variations:
VOOC 2.0, which operates at 5 V and 4 A.
VOOC 3.0 (2019), a technology that claims to be 23.8% faster than VOOC and "based on a new technology". It appears to be a 5 V / 5 A version of VOOC.
